Music Libraries
Place your music in film, TV & other media

We hope the libraries available here help you show everyone who will listen that you have music to offer the world.

We have been in touch with every music library on this list. Many other libraries exist; however, they either

1.
did not respond to our contacts,
2.
create all their own music in house, or
3.
do not accept outside submissions.

If they accept outside submissions and we were able to find them, they are included here.

Entries are listed alphabetically. In most cases, we provide the physical address, web address, phone number and email address for each. All are important; the web address will help you learn more about the library and whether or not you even want to send your music there. The contact information is critical for initial contact (see "IMPORTANT NOTE" below).

When the information is available, we have separated the name of the person to contact and placed it below the address, along with his or her email (when available), to encourage you to contact them BEFORE you send any music via email or the postal service.

IMPORTANT NOTE: UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED, PLEASE EMAIL, WRITE OR CALL EACH ORGANIZATION AND OBTAIN PERMISSION TO SUBMIT YOUR MUSIC BEFORE YOU SEND IT!

Please read the instructions from each library carefully before submitting. In addition, you owe it to yourself to go to the company's web site if they have one. Things change quickly, so the more knowledge you have, the more power you possess.

We did our best to find all of the music libraries that accept outside submissions. However, we are certain that there are many more libraries that we know nothing about.

If you have information you'd like to share about a music library that's not listed here, please contact us. Future postings may contain the information you provide. We say "may" because we will put new libraries through our acceptance process before including it.

Many of the libraries listed here are also publishing houses. On their web sites, they sometimes make little or no mention of the library side of their business. In any case, each listing provides an opportunity to put your music in front of people who might be interested.

Our philosophy is: If they accept outside submissions, send your music (while, at the same time, exercising caution).

If you have done your research on placing music in media projects, you probably know that you have a better chance of placement if your music is instrumental. Songs with lyrics are often accepted, but it often helps to have instrumental versions available as well.

Although our business is providing information and not advice, you will find some suggestions sprinkled in among our data. One important point will be made here: If you are fortunate enough to get a song placed in a media project, be sure to have the offered contract reviewed by a lawyer who specializes in intellectual property (IP), especially music. You may be faced with the choice of having your music placed or rejecting the contract. Only you can decide what is more important; a lawyer can tell you about the risks and benefits that can occur on each side of your decision.

As we have mentioned, change happens often and quickly. When you visit one of the web sites listed here, the information may differ from what you see on this site. We wish that all the music libraries would notify us of changes in their policies, submission procedures, and the like. Short of having total control over change, the best we can do is mention the fact that it is likely to occur. Therefore, if you do notice a difference between the information available here and what you see at one of the listed web sites, we invite you to notify us.

We wish you the best of luck as you "put yourself out there!"
